The next meeting of the digital Cultural Content Forum

The 2011 edition of the Digital Cultural Content Forum took place in Berlin (Germany), from the 18th to the 20th of May.

The main theme of this year's edition was Networking Digital Cultural Heritage. The agenda covered the following topics:

• The impact of digital technologies on the roles of organisations
• The implications of digital gaming developments on the new approaches to exploiting cultural heritage.
• The implications of social networking and semantic technologies on the future priorities of cultural heritage organisations
• The implications of the discussions of the National Digital Library in the US, the evolution of Europeana and transnational projects such as Google Books, Google Art Project, etc

The meeting was organised by the Institut für Museumsforschung, Staatlichen Museen zu Berlin, Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz (Institute for Museum Research, State Museums of Berlin, Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation) supported by the BKM - Der Beauftragte der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien (Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media)
